Our Story

In the vibrant tapestry of hospitality evolution, let me take you on a journey through time—a journey that started with a need and transformed into a formidable force in the hospitality landscape.

In the year 2005, local challenges that eluded the grasp of national organizations became the catalyst for the birth of the San Gabriel Valley Hospitality Association (SGVHA). Faced with issues unique to our communities, a collective decision was made to form a unified front—a formal organization that would stand as the voice of a diverse array of hotels, from independent establishments to franchised giants, both large and small.

SGVHA emerged not just as an organization but as the heartbeat of hoteliers, echoing through the cities and communities we served. It became the conduit for change, the platform for collaboration, and the advocate for every unique hotel nestled in the embrace of the San Gabriel Valley.

Fast forward to today, and we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in our narrative. SGVHA has evolved into something even more extraordinary—the SoCal Hospitality Network (SoCHN). This transformation is more than a change in name; it’s a testament to our commitment to expand our horizons and embrace the broader hospitality community.

From the roots of SGVHA, we’ve grown into a network that spans the vast expanse of Southern California, connecting hoteliers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts alike. SoCHN is not just an organization; it’s a dynamic fusion where networking converges seamlessly with knowledge, forming an intricate tapestry of growth and collaboration.

As we celebrate this evolution, we invite you to be part of this exciting chapter. Together, we’ll continue to shape the future of hospitality, where our shared experiences, insights, and connections propel us to new heights.

Cheers to the journey from SGVHA to SoCHN—a journey fueled by passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality excellence. Welcome to the next chapter!
